I’m a Canon user, although am happy to give advice on other manufacturers where possible. I can also advise on new purchases (lenses, bodies etc), general camera handling and photographic techniques, developing your abilities beyond auto settings, starting a photographic business and dealing with clients.
I am a RAW software shooter and can therefore also advise on RAW workflow and the relevant software (in particular Capture One and Lightroom). I’m also an advanced Photoshop user and although don’t profess to know every dark corner of the programme (3D animations etc!), I can give good advice on colour issues, workflow, tools, selections, filters and layers.
I am a multi award-winning freelance photographer working from Edinburgh in Scotland. I run a busy commercial side to my business as well as a more creatively driven side which specialises in supplying bespoke artworks to homes and workplaces.
My high-profile commissions have been for clients as diverse as The Sage and Northern Sinfonia, The World festival, The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), The Soweto Gospel Choir and The Public Catalogue Foundation.
I’ve also featured in mixed exhibitions as well as hosting solo exhibitions of my own - the most notable of which was held at Edinburgh's Italian Cultural Institute, 'Portraits From The North'.
Outside of my commercial work my specialities include macro photography, street portraiture and stage photography.
