In her own words

I am a confident, warm and conscientious person-centred counsellor, specialising in supporting clients with issues around bereavement, depression, trauma, self-harm and clients with mild mental conditions, such as bipolar and eating disorders. My personal counselling style is an integrative approach - using theoretical frameworks derived from Humanistic, Psychodynamic, CBT and Pychosynthesis modalities. I am experienced in working with clients from different ethnic groupings and strive to adhere to the ethical framework as outlined by BACP, of which I am a member.

As a counsellor, I also carry out therapeutic assessments to recommend clients for specific counselling, or make recommendations for referral to other healthcare professionals. I do this by using active listening, empathy and non-judgemental person-centred skills.

I am committed to my continuous personal development (CPD) and actively attend all trainings relevant to my interests and personal growth as a counsellor.

I currently hold 2 Enhanced CRB certificates.

As well as being a counsellor, I am also a Group Leader for a women’s focus group locally and have been in this position for over 15 years.
