I specialise in working with anyone suffering from the effects of a trauma or have a diagnosis of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. This would include any problems that are related to distress following an accident or have re occurring thoughts and images of a traumatic or upsetting event. I am a certified coach and an A1 assessor
Because of this I am able to provide support and advice across a range worries and anxieties.
I also work as on line counsellor and provide face to face counselling for other organisations as well as in my private practice.

Since 1987 I have worked for the Health Authority, Social Services and in Housing Support Services providing support, a listening ear, advice and a chance for people to have someone to advocate on their behalf, as well as practical help and advice, working alongside other professionals to access help and support.
Also in my previous work I have trained staff teams and managed large and small teams of support staff, and alongside carers and families since 1987 I completed my Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy in May 2007. This consolidates all my skills and experience within the clearly defined principles of psychotherapy.
While working as a therapist I have completed the Advanced Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy which is at master’s level.
I am qualified in Age Regression Therapy for uncovering blockages, healing and acceptance. (This is sometimes referred to Inner Child or Mnemodynamic Therapy.)
Because it is good to have a number of tools and ways of working I trained to use CBT which can be very helpful in identifying with you, some of the reasons that may be stopping you moving forward in your life, and to help you identify any unhelpful behaviours or thoughts. The first stage is beginning to understand.
