In her own words

Hello, I’m Emma Hammett and I am a qualified Nurse and First Aid Trainer. I am passionate about First Aid - knowing what to do in those vital first few minutes can make the difference between life and death. You can call at Greatvine for help and advice on what to do in a wide range of emergencies. I can give you practical support that fully complies with the current best Emergency Practice and Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines. And as a parent myself, rest assured that I fully understand the responsibilities and anxieties you can have if you’re looking after children.

You may be looking for expert input on what to do should an emergency situation one day happen in the home involving children or babies. I’m here for childcare professionals looking to ensure their skills are refined and up to date. I also provide specific First Aid Training for teenagers. Yours could be about to head off on that exciting Gap Year trip of a lifetime, or to joyfully dive into the scrum at your local rugby club. I can support them to understand how to keep themselves and their friends safe as they move through life’s adventures, or alternatively just be prepared for babysitting. And finally, I am here for professionals from any profession looking for reliable specialist advice on First Aid specific to your needs.

I initially trained and worked as nurse at St Thomas’ Hospital and worked in both clinical and managerial capacities within a diverse range of hospitals and specialties. This included Medicine at Hammersmith and Charing Cross Hospitals; Paediatrics; Accident & Emergency; Acute Admissions; Medicine for the Elderly; and the Burns Unit at Queen Mary’s Roehampton. I also worked within Community nursing throughout South West London and at Wandsworth Prison. I’m a highly experienced trainer, running courses staffed by an expert team of Medical and Emergency Services Professionals. I help Medical Professionals, parents, Child Carers, and teenagers plus a diverse range of sports organisations from the London Cycling Campaign to AFC Wimbledon Football Club.

It is of vital importance to me that everyone receiving my advice leaves feeling confident and competent that they have the skills and confidence to help in a medical emergency. So I’m looking forward to your call at Greatvine, all the best

Emma
