Using her skills as a qualified coach and supervisor, Fay aims to help coaches reflect on the way they work. She enjoys seeing people stretch their boundaries and develop their full potential.
I began my career as a clinical speech and language therapist in the NHS, moving along the communication spectrum via lecturing at undergraduate level, and then into management and organisational development - and then formally into coaching and coaching supervision.
My career has mainly been within the public sector, however I also tutored for the Open University Business School (MBA) over a 15- year period, including two contracts in Ethiopia. Working for the OU has given me and understanding of both business education and the business world which, along with my NHS experience, provides me with a broad knowledge base for my independent practice.
Coaching supervision is a hot topic in the coaching profession. Many coaches have yet to experience this process, despite recognition within the profession that it’s an essential part of continuing professional development. Aside from that, it's a great opportunity to reaffirm our abilities and experiment with ideas within a non-judgemental and supportive environment.
Working independently as a highly qualified coach and supervisor, my aim is to provide opportunities for people to reflect and gain insight into their practice with the added benefit of an extra perspective and appropriate support and challenge. In this way, people are able to explore their work and stretch their boundaries, helping them to develop their full potential and their clients to benefit.
I work alongside people in such a way that we create the 'dance' of reflection and supervision together.
