In her own words

Hello, my name is Fiona McCall and I’ve been a counsellor for over 20 years now. I help both individuals and couples with a wide range of problems, including PTSD; living with a disability or chronic condition; bereavement; poor Self-Esteem; and any other issues you might want to bring to Life Coaching. I’m a telephone counsellor here at Greatvine for any problems you would like some caring, specialist professional support with.

I work in an integrative and holistic way, having run my own private counselling service for over 10 years now. I believe it is crucial to work in a way that makes you feel safe and understood. I believe your body and mind work together and need to be in harmony with each other and your spirit or soul. Following my training in the Psychodynamic tradition, I’ve since specialised in couple counselling, and worked as a marriage counsellor for 5 years. I have 10 years of experience of working for an international Employee Assistance Programme plus 25 years experience of writing and delivering self esteem and confidence courses. I specialise in recovery from trauma and abuse, particularly childhood sexual abuse and helped to establish a survivor’s helpline which I then volunteered at for two years. When working with PTSD I offer creative and sympathetic ways to through work with the symptoms and sources of the trauma, using mindfulness and visualisation as core tools. Recently I have been working in the area of baby and child bereavement; I also currently run groups for those living with a long term health condition involving individual counselling sessions. Personally and professionally I am actively involved in strategic development and advocacy work for those living with disabilities or chronic conditions.

You could have other issues you want some expert help with, perhaps around difficult relationships with a partner, your family, your friends, or your colleagues. Or perhaps there are other important areas you’d like some counselling support or Life Coaching advice with. I’m here immediately on the phone for you at Greatvine. With my warmest regards,

Fiona
