I think it is important to understand a baby or child’s stage of development when tackling any problems, basing my advice on what is a reasonable expectation within the age range being dealt with.
I am a Princess Christian College trained NNEB nanny who has cared for babies and small children for over 30 years. After college I worked as a live in nanny for 14 years to one family. For the past 17 years I have mainly worked as a maternity nurse caring for newborns and parents in their own homes. In that time I have cared for over a hundred babies, both in the UK and abroad. I also have been a daily nanny and had several posts as a proxy parent to small children whose parents are away.
