Bank Holiday Blues

The mantle of blogging has passed from Lynsey to me.  I’m the new Social Media Manager. In the near future you will be seeing developments on our Facebook page, new twitter activity and a new voice on this blog. Enough of me, onto some weekend reading and tips for you.

The end of is August finally here! And for many of us this means, a trip to a DIY store and trying to make a start on those unfinished jobs.  For a bit of motivation have a read of Pam Burrows’ 5 Top Tips to tackle Procrastination.  Pam is a confidence coach and communications trainer, regularly appears on BBC Radio Nottingham and has been a trainer since 1991.

The end of August also means the start of the new school term, we have some great articles to help you prepare, from your child’s first day at school, to managing homework and recognising learning difficulties.  We also have a free downloadable guide on ‘Bullyproofing’ your child available here.

I hope everyone does make the most of the extended weekend.  We’ll be back in the office from Tuesday, however there will be some advisors available to take your calls over the break.

Finally here’s a little article on chocolate from Yvonne Wake to help cheer you up on what is looking like a very wet August bank holiday weekend.
