In her own words

I'm an experienced journalist, agony aunt and novelist, as well as a frequent contributor to radio and TV programmes, especially on health and relationship issues.

I write regular features for national newspapers and magazines, specialising in relationship issues and issues affecting teenagers. I’m currently a relationship adviser for askthesite, an online advice charity giving written advice to those aged 16+. I've also been the agony aunt for Sky.com and CosmoGirl! magazine. I advise both teenagers and adults about all aspects of relationships and sex, including issues with parents, partners, friends, and bullying and sexuality.

I've had several novels published for young adults, which have been shortlisted for three book awards. My subject matter is contemporary life (self-harm, shoplifting, the internet etc) and romance. I now visit schools and libraries, giving presentations on creative writing. I also present to adults on writing novels, the creative process, getting published, how to write books for teenagers, and on writing for newspapers and magazines.
