Specialities

My advice and guidance will be particularly useful for those looking to break into the field of travel writing with no previous experience.

In his own words

A life of free travel, free holidays and being pampered like a king in seven-star hotels? Not quite. Although being a travel writer is undoubtedly one of the best jobs in the world, it's not all about being seeing the world at somebody else's expense. You will need to write about your experiences, and then try and sell them.

That's where I come in.

I have no journalistic qualifications whatsoever, in fact, if you read my book More Ketchup than Salsa, you'll see I made the career jump of market worker to bar owner to travel writer. Tap 'award-winning travel writer' into Google and see who comes up. My work had been published in many high profile publications - from The Sunday Times to the Taipei Times, and from the New York Post to Conde Nast Traveller. I'm proud to say I've come a long way from selling fillets of fish at three for a fiver!

I'll show you the best way to start, how to achieve your travel writing ambitions quickly, how to write a travel article, how to sell it - even down to how to choose the right subject. Are you ready to see the world? Let's get started now.
