Childbirth Expert & Doula

I’m a childbirth educator, mother and doula of 15 years and I offer you my experience, grounded, clear support and guidance during your pregnancy and to help prepare you for your labour and birth.

My expertise is in my ability to educate, support and empower both women and their partners, allowing you to make informed decisions naturally, from a balanced and confident perspective.

Although pregnancy and childbirth can be a unique and magical time, we can often feel we're on a carousel of decisions to be made without the information we need to confidently make them. We also might be facing pressure from friends and family to do things a particular way, and a disconcerting array of changing faces every time we have an appointment with the midwife.

I’ve worked with families during the process of pregnancy and birth since 1994 and am a fully qualified doula and holistic childbirth educator. I’m a registered member of both Doula UK and the British Doula Association.

My continuous studies to date have been with Michel Odent, Ina May Gaskin, the Holistic Childbirth Educator Foundation, Janet Balaskas at the Active Birth Centre and Suzanne Yates at Well Mother (shiatsu for labour).

My own experience in birthing my two children has given me a passion for waterbirth, which is how I had my second baby. I’ve been able to assist in many waterbirths, both at home and hospital. My first birth taught me much about intervention and the need for being informed before the big day!
