Writing is very much about finding your own voice and expressing your passions. It’s also a way of creating a product that will help to raise your profile, position you as an expert, generate speaking opportunities and create passive income. My background means that I bring a broad range of skills and experience to the coaching process. These include interviewing and listening skills, diverse writing experience, an ability to get to grips with different subject areas fast and target them to the right audiences.
I’ve worked in the publishing industry, in particular at Random House and MQP Ltd, and have attended the ultimate publishing events: the Frankfurt and London Book Fairs.
Around 80% of people say they would like to write a book, but most never do. It can be both an exciting and daunting prospect and finding the right support can help you achieve your goal. As a writer's coach I can work with you right from the ideas stage, guide you through the writing and provide feedback and then help you decide how best to get your book out into the world (whether this is through self-publishing or a book deal). I mainly work on a book stage-by-stage, but I also offer one-off advice.
Prior to becoming a writer's coach, I worked in book publishing, PR, market research and sales and marketing. A voracious reader and book buyer since childhood, my passion has now become my business combined with my skills and experience from other industries.
