I specialise in making sure the company has a sound business strategy before it embarks on its journey. If the company is well down the road and looking for a coach or mentor, there’s no better time to stop and review the business strategy. The problem is that many are well down the road but don’t have one – and that’s the type of company I specialise in. With a master’s degree in marketing, I find many companies engaged in spending large amounts on marketing without any real understanding of the links between the various parts of the business. I am a business coach and mentor with over 25 years experience at board level, having held a number of directorships with subsidiaries of FTSE 350 companies. I’ve also worked for a large US multinational, having set up a new operation for them on Merseyside and in the public sector.
Currently I help business owners and senior managers in a broad range of small to medium-sized business.
Many business owners and MDs tell me theirs is one of the loneliest seats to occupy. I see my role as a to initially make certain that the business is ‘fit for purpose’, but also to ensure that I share the ‘tradecraft’ of running a highly successful with them.
