I trained as a psychotherapist in London, having studied Law, International Relations, Finance and Marketing in Rio de Janeiro.
Having 14 years experience as a working therapist, I have specialised mainly in the field of addiction, bereavement, anxiety, HIV and set up one of London’s largest substance misuse counselling service.
I work with both individuals and couples employing existential themes and CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy). Whilst having a great deal of knowledge, I maintain a comfortable yet professional relationship with my clients.
Alongside my clinical work, I work as a coach, supervise other therapists, am a visiting lecturer at The New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling. I am also continuing my own studies working on a PhD.
I provide sessions in both English and Portuguese.
I have also considerable experience working in the NHS, for leading therapy charities and public agencies.
I work to rigorous standards - registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
