With 12 years experience in the Army, Mark is now a personal trainer and sports massage therapist. He’s trained beginners to run ultra-marathons so has tried-and-tested motivational techniques.
Endurance training: I’m very experienced in the endurance training of British army soldiers in all environments, as well as helping many clients to achieve lifetime goals - from running their first marathon to summiting Mount Kilimanjaro. Whether you’re a professional athlete, a complete novice or want to generally improve your cardiorespiratory fitness for a strong, healthy heart and lungs I can offer advice and guidance.
Functional training: Looking good is one thing, but is your body performing at its best? Do you wonder why after all that training, you're still suffering from lower back pain or are prone to injuries? Over the last 20 years people have become obsessed about looking good, choosing aesthetic appeal over how our body actually functions. My approach to training is to have you performing at your best and looking great.
Lower back pain and sports injuries: My knowledge and experience in dealing with these conditions will have you performing at the top of your game in no time. Whether you have a sprained ankle, pulled muscle, tennis elbow or even chronic lower back pain, rest assured that you’re in safe hands.
As an experienced personal trainer, I come from a British army background and served 12 years in the infantry. I believe strongly that good health and fitness is a necessity in daily life, as much as it is in sport performance. I have a genuine passion for how people can improve and develop their lifestyles through exercise and nutrition.
My interests are ultra-endurance events and I’ve recently trained a team of ‘non-runners’ to complete five marathons in five days for a military charity. I also enjoy a range of mountain activities including ice climbing and mountain biking.
