As a sex and relationship psychotherapist, some of Mary’s specialities include the assessment and treatment for the loss of desire, sexual pain issues, men who are unable to get and/or maintain an erection and individual and couple relationship issues.
I specialise in sexual dysfunction issues for men and women. e.g. Inability to get and maintain an erection, loss of desire or arousal and pain issues. Difficulties with ejaculation, difficulties with orgasm, addiction and obsession with sexual stimuli, sexual identity or gender issues, fertility, sexual abuse, sexual addiction, internet pornography,paraphilias, fetishism, transgender and cross dressing.
Many of my clients have spent years seeking help for their issues so because I am able to liase with other healthcare professionals i.e. your GP or hospital consultant I am able to co-ordinate the delivery of true holistic care and ensure that you get the best possible advice, assessment and treatment for your situation. This has proved a highly effective way of working to address your difficulties.
I am a fully trained and accredited sex and relationship psychotherapist with specialised training in sexual medicine. This means that I can assess, diagnose and treat a range of relationship and/or sexual problems for individuals or couples. I assess the physical and emotional aspects of sexual functioning difficulties together with their impact on the relationship aspects of an individual or couple.
Getting reliable, sensitive help for relationship issues and/or sexual difficulties can be problematic. I offer relationship counselling for couples or individuals with a very flexible approach. I have a warm and friendly way of working that is mainly systemic, but I am able to work using CBT or psychodynamic models. I am comfortable and confident working with all aspects of sexuality as well.
