I'm a relationship psychologist, agony aunt and author, specialising in intimate relationships, love and sexuality.
I'm delighted to contribute my writing to Greatvine, and particularly excited about the downloads I've created for the ‘sexuality’ section.
I've been working in the relationships field since 1979 and have written 22 books on relationships, published in 33 countries and 24 languages, including two books for Relate and The New Joy of Sex.
In my role as an agony aunt for several publications and websites including Top Sante magazine, I've received up to 25,000 letters a year. I regularly comment for a range of national and international newspapers, magazines, television and radio programmes.
My academic involvement includes being the consumer correspondent for the Journal of Family Planning, and on the Advisory Board for Women's Health Concern. I'm also a member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists, the Royal Society of Medicine and the British Society for Sexual Medicine.
My work is known worldwide and I've worked in places as far flung as Brussels, Istanbul, Montreal and Reykjavik!

I also provide patient advice on three medico-sexual websites dealing with erectile dysfunction, pre-menstrual syndrome and cervical cancer. Over the course of each year, I receive up to 25,000 letters through my combined columns.

The more academic side of what I do is focused around my background in psychology; I use my expertise to advise in the fields of relationships, sexuality, and medico-sexuality.
I write papers for a range of academic journals; in particular, I am Consumer Correspondent for the Journal of Family Planning and Reproductive Health Care.
I regularly present to conferences around the world. My most recent guest appearances include: speaking on the psychological implications of cervical cancer at the Royal Society of Medicine, and arguing the effectiveness of sex education at a debate held by the British Association of Sexual and Relationship Therapy.
I also sit on the following advisory boards: Editorial Committee Journal of Family Planning; Primary Care Erectile Dysfunction Society; National Association for Premenstrual Syndrome; Jo's Trust; the Levitra Global Advisory Board on Erectile Dysfunction.
