In her own words

Hello, I’m Teresa Bliss and I’m an independent child and Education Psychologist. I help parents to support their children to reach their full potential, when the children are having difficulties learning at school. I’m an expert on behaviour problems, Special Needs, dyslexia, dyspraxia, sensory processing, behaviour and autism for individuals aged from 2 to adulthood. You may want support for your child, or you may be an adult looking for support yourself for higher education, or for work. I’m here as a qualified, highly experienced telephone advisor to answer all your questions and help you understand the type of support currently available.

I began my career in teaching, and worked in both mainstream and Special Needs schools. I have run units for children with learning, emotional, social and behavioural difficulties and worked as an advisory teacher. I have published a number of books, for schools and parents, drawing on my teaching career and work since qualifying as an Educational Psychologist in the year 2000. I have always pursued my specialist interest in bullying and the systemic work that schools can do to prevent it. I also have a special interest in the effects of chronic grief and how it can be helped. You may feel that you want to use me as an advisor for your children, or for yourself.

As well as children, adults can face a variety of challenges in both education and their overall career related to learning. I can provide accurate, expert advice on a broad range of topics, including the common problems mentioned above like dyslexia and dyspraxia, etc. Talk to me in confidence about any concerns around your own personal learning abilities; work performance and processing long-standing grief.

I’ll also provide up to date, specialist help if you are the parent of child who is having difficulties that affect their education and ability to function in school. I have 3 grown up children myself, and I’m here for advice on a wide range of issues, including areas like autism and educational assessments. I am also a telephone consultant for schools to develop Anti Bullying and behaviour policies, plus services for Special Needs.

Whether you are a parent, a professional or someone looking for help yourself, I look forward to giving you reliable advice at Greatvine; with my best regards,

Teresa
