I specialise in: • Water births and home births • Vaginal births after caesarean (VBAC) • Support in hospital for clients who are planning a hospital birth
I run classes and workshops on: • Preparation for birth • Fathers-only sessions • Hypnobirthing • Breastfeeding • Home birth and water birth • Basic first aid and resuscitation for babies • Teething and weaning • Antenatal and postnatal discussion groups
I provide home visits for breastfeeding help and support. All my consultations are followed up with telephone or email contact.
I do telephone consultations that provide up-to-date advice on infant feeding, teething and weaning and aspects involving care of mum and baby during pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period.
I’ve worked as an independent midwife since 2002, but also have experience of working within the NHS and the private sector. Before becoming a midwife I worked as a registered general nurse for over seven years.
I’m now also a lactation consultant, and have a history of providing personalised, high-quality, one-to-one care. My aim is to make your special time even better.
My two gorgeous sons were born in 2005 and 2007. After experiencing an emergency caesarean section for my first and then a wonderful home water birth with my second, I have first-hand experience of the benefits of having a midwife that you know and trust and how this can empower a woman to have an amazing birthing experience.
My practice is based in London. I’ve helped many woman to enjoy a positive birthing experience, plus given them postnatal care and support.
