In his own words

I’m an internationally recognised authority in cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT). I have worked in the field of counselling and psychotherapy since 1975 and during this time have helped many people with emotional problems and relationship difficulties.

Having authored and edited over 180 books, I’m also an experienced writer in the field of counselling and psychotherapy.

As well as my academic writing I write for the general public, and my books include the bestselling Ten Steps to Positive Living and Coping with Envy.

I’ve worked in a variety of settings including NHS GP practices, private psychiatric hospitals, student counselling services and Relate.

I work with my clients to help them identify what the problem is, come up with a strategy to deal with it and most importantly recognise the obstacles to change and how these can be overcome.

I look forward to helping you via Greatvine.
